西宮市大谷記念美術館 「美術館で森林浴」川村悦子2021年度新収蔵作品による展示。
（ありふれた季節Ⅲ）は当初３点組として発表されたが、個展終了後に人の姿を描いた１点が新たに追加された。（ありふれた季節）は川村が2004年から2005年に滞在したイタリアのミラノで足繁く訪れた公園がモデルとなっている。緑豊かな公園にあふれる色彩や、そこで各々の時間を過ごす人々の姿は、何気ない風景でありながらも川村の印象に強く残った。今回収蔵した作品はいずれも植物が克明に描かれており、これらの作品の前に立つと草木の匂いや、そこに流れる空気をも感じさせてくれるような臨場感がある。川村の他の作品にも通じる、植物の持つしたたかな生命力が画面の隅々まで満ちている。

Nishinomiya City Ohtani Memorial Art Museum: “Forest Bathing at the Art Museum” Exhibition Featuring New Acquisitions for 2021 by Etsuko Kawamura.
(JUST ANOTHER SEAZON III) was originally presented as a triptych, but one piece depicting a human figure was added after the solo exhibition concluded. (JUST ANOTHER SEAZON ) is modeled after a park Kawamura frequently visited during her stay in Milan, Italy, from 2004 to 2005. The vibrant colors overflowing in the lush park and the people spending their individual time there left a strong impression on Kawamura, despite being an ordinary scene. Each of the newly acquired works depicts plants in meticulous detail. Standing before them, one feels an immersive presence that seems to convey the scent of the plants and the air flowing through the space. The resilient vitality inherent in plants, a theme common to Kawamura’s other works, fills every corner of the canvas.
