These two nostalgic works are from my graduation exhibition at Kyoto City University of Arts, my alma mater. I titled these works ” Labyrinth Ⅰ・Ⅱ ” to express my anxiety about the future, and the paper airplane was myself. This fictional style of the painting may be due to the strong influence of my university mentor Prof. Kozo Mio. ” Labyrinth I “was purchased by the university, and ” Labyrinth Ⅱ ” caught the eye of an American who came to see the exhibition and brought it back to his home country.
