これは「ポスター」の連作だ。当時私は下書きをする際にトレーシングペーパを用いて下絵を拡大して描いていたが、ある時にほぼ出来上がったこの絵の上に、下書きしたトレーシングペーパがズレて置かれていた。下の絵とトレーシングペーパが透けて見え、そこに生じる薄い隙間が何かを物語るように感じた。
This is a series of ‘posters’. At the time, I used tracing paper to enlarge the rough sketch when I was drafting, and one day I found a piece of tracing paper that I had drafted on top of this almost finished picture, which was misaligned. I could see through the tracing paper and the picture below, and I felt that the thin gap between them told me something.
