これは当時パルコのポスターだったと記憶するが、赤いレオタードを着た女性が鮮烈で、これで何ができないかと考え「ポスター」として描き出した。赤い色彩が強烈なだけにこのポスターをどう表現して良いか迷ったが、偶然にめくれたポスターの影が女性の顔にかかり、その表情に翳りが出た。美しいと感じた。
I remember this was a poster for Parco at the time, and the woman in the red leotard was so striking that I wondered what I could do with it, so I drew it up as a ‘poster’. The red colour was so intense that I wasn’t sure how to describe this poster, but the shadow of the poster, which was accidentally turned up, fell on the woman’s face, creating a shadow on her expression. I felt it was beautiful.
